The new development Snow Peak in Syterbyn is inspired by classic Austrian alpine villages, where material choices, buildings, and the environment interact to create a cohesive and vibrant atmosphere. It is not just about individual houses, but about building an area where everything connects.
A central feature of Snow Peak is that the ski slope runs through the area. This makes skiing a natural part of everyday life and creates a neighborhood where movement, living, and experiences meet in a way that differs from traditional mountain projects. Snow Peak is being built with the new lift as its closest neighbor, with an opening planned for the winter of 2026, making the location particularly attractive from the start.
“We have looked closely at how alpine villages function in practice, where life between the houses is just as important as the houses themselves", says Marcus Radhe, project developer for Snow Peak.
The houses are designed for year-round use, with a focus on function, comfort, and social spaces. The ambition is to create homes where people want to spend as much time during the summer and autumn as they do in the winter.
For us, it is not just about winter tourism. We want to create a place where people actually use their homes for large parts of the year.
Each house is sold as a separate property with its own plot and parking, providing greater freedom of ownership and a more long-term feel.
Snow Peak is situated in an attractive location in Syterbyn, with views of the mountain landscape and proximity to the planned town center where services and meeting places are emerging.
“It is rare to be involved this early in an area that has such a clear plan for the whole." says real estate agent Liam Viklund at Svensk Fast.
For those interested in snowmobiling, there is also the opportunity for regulated snowmobile riding in the area, with access to trails directly from the site.
Snow Peak is one of the first projects in Syterbyn, but it provides a clear picture of the direction forward, where skiing, architecture, and quality of life are woven together in a new mountain destination.

Project developer Marcus Radhe has extensive experience and is behind over 130 completed homes in areas including Åre and Vemdalen.
The first phase includes terraced houses and two-story homes - all with direct access to Syterbyn's first ski slope.
