Syterbyn's new lift takes shape

The first guests will ride the new lift in Syterbyn by Christmas 2026! Thomas Ringbrant provides a status update directly from the construction site.

What kind of new lift is being built?
It is a Doppelmayr S-line, a modern SL 2 T-bar lift specially adapted for Syterbyn. Doppelmayr is one of the world's leading lift manufacturers, and the lift is custom-made for our area.

How is the construction going?
It is moving forward, and a lot is happening right now! Groundwork is underway around the lift station and lift house, and during May and June, the lift line is being adjusted to ensure everything is perfectly positioned when the actual construction begins in earnest in July.

We are closely following the progress, and it is truly exciting to see how the area changes with each passing week. What was not long ago just an idea on the drawing board is now starting to take physical shape!

Is the schedule on track?
Yes! The lift will be ready by Christmas 2026. Everything is running according to plan, and we look forward to welcoming skiers to a brand-new part of Syterbyn.
